Location Note: The individual could be located anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic region or in a location with easy access to an airport for travel to Mid-Atlantic Pharmaceutical hubs.

 

HighRes is expanding its global sales, applications and services organizations to increase focus on our current and future clients needs.  This role will be critical to establishing the foundation of our US sales team and the direction of our business in the US throughout phase 1 and beyond.  The successful candidate will be tenacious, driven, highly motivated sales professional with a proven record of success in the solution selling environment with experience in selling to large public and private organizations at all levels.  Hungry for success and with a committed motivation to getting things done, the successful candidate will place the client at the center of everything they do. 

Responsibilities

HighRes is looking for an individual to develop its business activity in the US Mid-Atlantic. This successful candidate will be a consummate and credible sale professional selling the complete HighRes product and solution portfolio to Pharmaceutical, biotechnology, ag-bio, academic and government clients.  The position’s focus is as follows: identify and develop new business opportunities, build awareness for the HighRes brand, communicate market feedback into marketing, and foster business relationships with third party vendors.

  • You will be the face of HighRes in the territory
  • Develop a focused territory development plan each fiscal year
  • Build the HighRes brand through client communication, organize automation events that align with marketing initiatives
  • Specify targeted accounts, identify business opportunities, close new business deals while coordinating requirements
  • Develop and foster new business relationships
  • Work with marketing to drive initiatives, enhance campaigns and build material for the US market
  • Arrange client meetings, identify opportunities, and generate leads with accounts in your territory.  Expectation is that you will have a minimum of 6 face-to-face meetings each week
  • You will have individual responsibility for new business, and are expected to be autonomous; however, you will be part of a growing team of people focused on the US market.  You will work in close collaboration with the management and internal teams for large complex opportunities
  • Manage, maintain, and build a territory pipeline, ensuring that your territory business helps drive our business decisions
  • Partner with the application’s team in response to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner
  • Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail while multi-tasking project
  • Confident negotiator and ability to ‘close the deal’ at all levels within the client’s organization
  • Travel requirements 50%

Qualifications

  • Motivated, success oriented individual ensuring the health and growth of our business
  • Successful sales history in life science automation or capital equipment is desired.  We would be also interested in an individual with a proven record in an applications role that is highly interested in transitioning to a sales role.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the sales process for capital equipment in the life sciences market
  • Capable of hands on problem solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions
  • Ability to work in intimate and transparent collaboration with the project and technical teams
  • Strong communication skills (written, oral, email, telephone, and presentation)
  • A positive and determined approach to researching and analyzing new business opportunities
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • A positive attitude is ideal
  • Capable of working independently and having responsibility as an individual
  • HighRes is willing to consider a candidate for the role that has a solid life science/lab automation background.
