    We are looking for a candidate with a BS or MS degree to fill a Product Development Associate position. You must possess a strong hands-on aptitude and an understanding of basic laboratory equipment and liquid handlers.   Familiarity with programming laboratory devices, method creation and basic liquid handler software scripting will be required, as well as a beginner/intermediate knowledge of programming languages, including C, C++, C#, or Java.

    In this role, you will work closely with our engineering teams in the development and testing of new products.  You will work with product and project managers to effectively bring products from concept through to product implementation.  You will manage responsibilities ranging from product prototype testing to customer support.  In addition, you will be responsible for understanding client applications, and will work both independently and with customers doing everything from bench testing prototypes to running protocols on our automated robotic systems.

    Specific Position Responsibilities:

    • Gather requirements and specifications
    • Collaborate with in-house teams in developing new products and solutions
    • Assist the Product Manager in creating and running test procedures
    • Serve as device expert and primary liaison between internal groups and customers
    • Model applications and assist with the development of client methods that will run on HighRes robotic systems
    • Assist with writing technical and training documentation


    • BS / MS in Biology or other related applied science/engineering discipline
    • 1-2 years related experience with automated lab equipment is required, specifically experience with liquid handlers (Beckman, Tecan, Agilent, Cybio, Hamilton)
    • Experience as a leader or key contributor of on software development projects with teams of 5-8 developers
    • Experience in a scrum based software development environment
    • Experience with programming in C, C++, C# or Java
    • Experience with MS Office suite. Adobe Acrobat, MS Project – Visio a plus
    • Excellent time management, analytical and listening skills

    • Exceptional written and verbal communication
    • Any knowledge and experience with cell culture, sequencing prep, ELISA, reporter gene assays, ADME/TOX or compound management is a plus
    • Experience with high throughput screening, compound management, drug discovery or research automation a plus
    • Some travel may be required
