    We are looking for an experienced Production Planner. This role centers around orchestrating the company's production schedule based on sales forecasts and operational capacity to meet customer needs.


    You will work on problems of diverse scope requiring planning of complex operations, as part of a talented cross functional team bringing to market robotics and complex automated systems for the life science industry. You will have an opportunity to exercise broad judgment within established practices and policies and offer suggestions for improvment when needed. Timing in this role will be key to your individual success and that of the company. This role reports to the Materials Manager and will interact with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.


    In a typical day, you will:

    • Create bridges to communication between management and production staff; coordinate meetings, deliver reports and exchange ideas. Monitor and facilitate sales orders and forcasts to establish realistic order fulfillment dates and production schedules to meet 100% on-time shipments.
    • Run MPS & MRP for production parts in Visibility and respond to production issues, adjusting planning schedules and communicating major variations to affected parties.
    • Work closely with Manufacturing and become the primary interface for internal customers.
    • Lead weekly production scheduling meetings and provide current order status and production schedule updates.
    • Determine appropriate supply and inventory of raw material, in-process and finished goods materials and coordinate orders with Buyers
    • Measure and report key customer service and production metrics and any variations to goal. Configure, analyze and actively drive improvements on relevant key performance indicators.
    • Ensure accuracy of all ERP/MRP system data, Bills of Materials, production routing, requirements plan, item master and cost, etc.
    • Be a key contributor to lean activities to drive improvements across the site
    • Other projects and activities as required


    Key attributes that will make you successful:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Management or another related field
    • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 3+ years planning experience
    • Strong negotiation is essential along with an ability to influence (with or without authority) and manage up, down and across the organization
    • Experience in planning, supplier relations, material planning and inventory management roles for new products and on-going production
    • High degree of professional integrity, ethics and confidentiality
    • Microsoft Office applications including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MRP/ERP systems.
    • Product data management and Bills of Materials.
    • Experience with ISO9001 and Lean Manufacturing concepts
    • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills and a flair for multi-tasking and making sound decisions.
    • You know how to be personally accountable and still thrive in a team environment
