    We are looking for an eager and enthusiastic Production Planner/Scheduler. This role centers around coordinating the company's production schedule based on sales forecasts and operational capacity to meet customer needs.

    Responsibilities

    You wil be supporting  a diverse scope of complex planning operations. This cross functional team is bringing to market robotics and sophisticated automated systems for the life science industry. You will have an opportunity to exercise judgment within established practices and policies and offer suggestions for improvment when needed. Timing in this role will be key to your individual success and that of the company. This role reports to the Materials Manager and will interact with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.

     

    In a typical day, you will:

    • Plan and release Work Orders to Manufacturing per MRP requirements using Visibility ERP System
    • Track shortages and interface with Purchasing to expedite parts and to confirm that delivery dates meet scheduling requirements
    • Review WIP Work Orders for actioning and research and resolve WIP inventory discrepancies
    • Perform Production Receipts and close and issue to stock or Work Order and Sales Order shortages
    • Work closely with the Production Manager to schedule and reschedule Production priorities
    • Implement Engineering Change Orders, ensure Work Orders are built at the correct revision and resolve any discrepancies with non-conforming parts through the MRB process
    • Work with Technicians to resolve BOM issues
    • Review Sales Orders and provide support to Service
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to lean activities that drive improvements across the site
    • Other projects and activities as required

    Qualifications

    Key attributes that will make you successful:

    • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations with at least 1+ years planning experience
    • Working knowledge of relevant ERP functionality including planning, multi-level bills of materials and inventory management
    • Strong negotiation is essential along with an ability to influence (with or without authority) and manage up, down and across the organization
    • Experience in planning, supplier relations, material planning and inventory management roles for new products and on-going production
    • High degree of professional integrity, ethics and confidentiality
    • Microsoft Office applications including Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, MRP/ERP systems.
    • Experience with Visibility and Omnify a plus
    • Product data management and Bills of Materials.
    • Experience with ISO9001 and Lean Manufacturing concepts
    • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills and a flair for multi-tasking and making sound decisions.
    • You know how to be personally accountable and still thrive in a team environment
