    We are searching for a deployment engineer to lead various implementations of our robotic systems. The expectation is
    that you are a fast learner, you're able to work independently and still embrace collaboration with our engineering and project management teams to make our customers successful. The ideal candidate will be able to grow with the company and take on additional leadership roles over time.


    This is an exciting opportunity to have a real impact on the development of our automation platform. You will work across disciplinary lines on a small team configuring robotic systems to meet customer installation specifications. You'll be the face of HighRes onsite with our clients for requirements, testing and training so polished, professional communication is essential!  This is an AMAZING opportunity for someone looking for an above average entry level role or someone passionate about the intersection of life sciences and robotics.

     

    There will be significant domestic and international travel (50%+)! Current Drivers License and Passport are required.

     

    Preferably, you will be based at our headquarters in Beverly, Massachusetts. However, we are open to candidates near major airports.

    Responsibilities

    • Make customers raving fans of our product! Be the primary field point of contact for customers
    • Deploy laboratory automation solutions, software and affiliated devices and consumables.
    • Hands on customer training on robotic arms on room-scale systems
    • Customize software for integrating laboratory automation devices
    • Configure relational databases for scheduling software
    • Set up and debugging small scale computer networks
    • Execute field retrofits. Work with interdisciplinary engineering teams to troubleshoot field issues and verify system assembly
    • Execute Factory and Site Acceptance testing and facilitate the transition of post go-live performance monitoring to our support group.
    • Ensure safety and accurate performance of our systems at HighRes and on site with customers

    Qualifications

    You will learn a lot while doing in the field, however, your overall success will be greatly increased if you have all or most of the following:

    • BS in a technical discipline. Experience in services or deployment engineering positions is a plus
    • Analytical, technical and problem solving skills that can be applied to real world solutions
    • Familiarity with networking (TCP/IP), databases, xml, and java - experience with ROS and cloud based technologies a plus
    • General understanding of network topologies such as VPNs, firewalls, and routers
    • Basic mechanical and electrical repair skills. Are you a “tinkerer”?
    • Ability to write tools and scripts to automate repetitive tasks
    • Experience recording logs and information on software bugs
    • Organization and time management skills and the ability to cope with fluctuating workloads and high stress situations
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
